Some snappy explanation.
- Use URIs to identify things
- Use HTTP URIs so that people can locate and look up these things
- Provide useful information about the thing when it's looked up
- Include links to other, related things in the exposed data as a means of improving information discovery on the Web
Getting back to a (new) normal
As Ian kindly explained a few days ago, I recently lost my wife Caroline. She didn’t have much of a Web presence, but at least I can point to some of her photos and Wikipedia entry (grr, with notability under question).
Many thanks to everyone who has expressed their condolences, apologies if it’s a while (or even never) that I respond in person - I’m also a little overwhelmed in the usual sense right now too. I’m feeling ok, coincidentally recently began the process of stopping drinking. I do wish the uppers the doctor prescribed for now were as effective as the downers, but hey, better than nowt.
Anyhow, this situation has prompted me to get on with reviving my personal blog (in a new improved form), this being an interim step. Expect plenty of 404s for a bit.

At times like this words are inadequate. I am sorry to hear this news.
