I'll fill this out better asap - I wanted to get the vid out of the way first

3 or 4 samples were shamelessly lifted from De La Soul's awesome The Magic Number from 1990. Go buy their stuff. A lot of the inspiration came from The Hombres "Let it out (Let it all hang out)" from 1967. The rest was yours truly from 2008.

Video file: GetYourDataOut.mov. Audio only: data_out.mp3 (if anyone pesters me, I can do a dump of the individual tracks for dub/remix purposes, but it's a bit long-winded with the DAW software I've been using and being on a low-bandwidth connection)

I'll do a linked data colophon on the music gear sometime soon, not sure I'll bother describing the video kit, low/no-cost video software really sucks... OpenOffice and the Gimp worked ok, as did the camera - a cheapo domestic 3 megapixel photo camera.

Better have the (*cough*) lyrics:

later - must be on other machine

If you only watch one other video this year, let it be this one: Tim Berners-Lee talking about The Semantic Web of Data (streamed, 8mins 24secs). There's also some stuff about DataPortability in Tim's recent podcast interview (transcript).
